SEVOLT C oils are compounded type steam cylinder oils having excellent oiliness and film strength properties. These oils resist water washout and minimise deposit formation even at elevated temperatures. SEVOLT C oils are recommended for steam engines operating under wet/ saturated steam conditions. These oils are widely used in calendar bearings and sugar mill roll bearings and are also recommended for lubrication of worm gears. These oils are not suitable for applications, where the steam condensate is re used.
SEVOLT M oils have excellent chemical and thermal stability and load carrying ability. These oils reduce steam consumption due to good sealing characteristics and minimise frictional losses. These oils are recommended for cylinder lubrication of steam engines handling superheated steam, where the condensate is separated from oil and re-used for process work. SEVOLT M oils are not suitable for wet steam conditions. These oils are also used in oil tempering and wire drawing applications with satisfactory results.
